Policy, System and Environment (PSE) Program Specialist, Supplemental Nutrition Education Program Education (SNAP-Ed)
This is a grant funded position which is renewable annually by the sponsor agency & by OSU.
The SNAP-Ed PSE Program Specialist is responsible for promoting public health approaches through policy, systems, and environment interventions to address food insecurity and obesity within the parameters of the SNAP-Ed program. The incumbent will work collaboratively with SNAP-Ed program coordinators and assistants to increase their capacity to coordinate, conduct, and promote SNAP-Ed multi-level initiatives and activities that create policies, systems, and environment changes to influence Ohio SNAP participants food access, food choices and physical activity. The PSE Program Specialist will work in tandem with fellow SNAP-Ed program managers and state staff to plan and participate in professional development activities for SNAP-Ed statewide staff and ensure SNAP-Ed program consistency statewide.
The PSE Specialist will be primarily responsible for leading efforts in shaping PSE (Policies, Systems, and Environments) that support access to healthy food choices and opportunities for physical activity for SNAP-Ed participants. Regular travel will be required throughout the region and locations around the state.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
The pay range for this profile is $58,000 - $77,200.00Annual. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
