The Taylor Geospatial Institute is the nations leading geospatial research collaborative, rooted in St. Louis and the Midwest. TGIs singular goal is to fuel the transformative scientific and technological revolution that is geospatial. The Institute draws on the strengths of eight outstanding, Midwestern research institutions and harnesses the energy of partnership with industry and governmentto grow talent and to cultivate solutions to the worlds greatest challenges. TGI believes that the next generation of geospatial scientific and technological advances will be essential in addressing national security and promoting peace, tackling climate change, realizing true food security and sustainability, and facing global health crises. JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Geospatial Data and Analytics(DGDA)leads the Geospatial Data & Analytics Library (GDAL) teamto provide research services (taylorgeospatial.org/research-services) to faculty and researchers across the consortium to advance geospatial science in service of the vision and mission of the Taylor Geospatial Institute (TGI). These services include providing access to data analysis ready data sets, providing custom data collection, access to high performance computing and general GIS services. The GDAL team is composed of geospatial data analysts and scientists, geospatial computing engineers, and software developers. The research infrastructure includes a wide range of remote sensing equipment, several mobile field-testing vans, data storage systems, two on-premise high-performance computing systems as well as cloud computing access. The DGDA evaluates the service requests from faculty members and manages the GDAL team and resources to deliver quality services to support the maximum number of projects to align with the vision and mission. The DGDA also oversees the development of algorithms and methodologies for various projects, implementing research infrastructure, and establishing standards.Â

Saint Louis University(SLU) is a private, co-educational Jesuit university located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Founded in 1818 by the Most Reverend Louis Guillaume Valentin Dubourg SLU is the oldest university west of the Mississippi River. The University has campuses in St. Louis, Mo. and Madrid, Spain. SLU values academic excellence, life-changing research, compassionate health care, and a strong commitment to faith and service. For nearly 200 years, the University has gone beyond teaching facts and figures, encouraging students to form ideas and identities. Today, SLU students are nearly 14,000 strong. The University has invested vast resources to advance academic programs and enhance the student experience. SLU also is a major research institution where premier researchers tackle local and global challenges. And the University's commitment to community service has earned it national acclaim and bolstered its status as a character-building college.
