The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center has an opportunity for a Grants Associate (hybrid) position to join the Accounting & Finance Department to assist in providing accounting and compliance support starting March 1, 2023. This position reports to the Sponsored Research Compliance Manager.
Primary responsibilities:
Review sponsored research proposal budgets (including revisions)
Populate proposal budgets in grant management system
Graduate student agreement (and amendment) drafting and accounting
Serve as backup for Sponsored Research Analyst (monthly IDC calculation and recording, deferred revenue, etc.)
Serve as backup for Sponsored Research Accountant (monthly invoicing)
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Solid computer knowledge with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel) and Outlook is required. Experience with InfoEd Grant Management Software is a bonus.
Must possess the ability to work independently and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while demonstrating professionalism and respect
Actively contribute to a positive work environment

Qualifications:
Possess an associates degree (bachelors degree preferred) and minimum 5 years of experience. Experience in grant submission, regulations and compliance is preferred.

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, Missouri is a not-for-profit research institute. Scientists at the Center are engaged in research that strives to enhance the nutritional content of plants, increase agricultural production to create a sustainable food supply, reduce the use of pesticides and fertilizer, develop new and sustainable biofuels, and generate scientific ideas and technologies that will contribute to the economic growth of the St. Louis region.
