Job Purpose and Impact
The Corporate Lab Lead - Microbiology, will ensure Protein business compliance with all regulations, policies, standards and practices. In this role, you will lead a team that creates and implements policies, procedures, customer and supplier standards within manufacturing facilities and 3rd party testing sites across North America. You will act as a liaison among affiliated company businesses in the North region and with external microbiology vendors.
Key Accountabilities
Identify and anticipate potential risk and take action to prevent food safety and quality and regulatory compliance issues
Responsible for the execution of company’s test & hold program and COA process within data systems
Lead compliance efforts to Global Lab Practices within company laboratories
Build and develop an effective, competent and engaged workforce
Drive continuous improvement in the areas of product food safety, sampling/testing methodologies and antimicrobial intervention validation
Build internal and external partnerships with business operations and supply chain functions, managing directors, customers and vendors to ensure product quality and food safety
Collaborate with the broader food safety quality and regulatory groups within the company to develop and align strategies
Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field
Experience with USDA/FDA/CFIA/TIF microbiology regulatory requirements
Experience with Microsoft Office suite and proficiency in MS Excel
Location: This position is open to a remote home office in the US
The expected salary for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
