WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, the Director of Business Operations manages the company's operations, including work processes, offices, administrative team, technology, and human resources, and may be involved in contracts, finance, and legal functions at the discretion of the VP of Operations. The Director of Business Operations works to improve all processes and policies within Midan and oversees all matters related to HR and Talent Acquisition. The Operations Director provides backup support for the VP of Operations.
Specific Responsibilities
Manages the Administrative, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Project Management, and IT
Participates in departmental and expense budget development, implementation, and revenue forecasting
Develops operational plans tied to the annual budget and strategic plans
Oversees the development and maintenance of organizational processes and procedures. This includes management of all business processes and periodic in-depth analysis of all areas within Midan.
Oversees the human resources function, including employee policy handbook, performance appraisals, grievance procedures, discipline, policy and procedure development, benefits administration, payroll, and recruiting
Oversees talent acquisition planning, execution, and vendors
Serves as coordinator of all training programs within Midan, including onboarding, positional training, and advanced training.
Works with outside legal counsel/advisors as directed by the VP of Operations involving legal matters, contracts, and employee benefit matters
Oversees and manages the “Help Desk” aspects of the IT function of the company, including computers, and Internet connectivity, between offices and off-site employees, including contracts with outside vendors.

WHO ARE YOU?
You have very strong communication skills. You are also a good motivator of people, have exceptional organizational skills, and have a knack for identifying internal and external customer needs. You care about quality at every level and have excellent attention to detail. You also have:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business-related concentration required
Experience in agency management involving processes, people resources, and financial oversight
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of overall professional experience
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in financial oversight
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an operations/general management role
An understanding of and can communicate information and concepts to company leadership
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external parties
The ability to multi-task and wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the company’s mission, and
