Job Description: What We're Looking For
Baylor Interdisciplinary Core is seeking a full-time Admissions Analyst to join the team. The Baylor Interdisciplinary Core explores the interrelation of humanities and social sciences, providing students with a broad context to understand the contemporary world. Exploring literature and thought from around the world, BIC students receive a global education that prepares them to thrive in any field. As a successful candidate you will demonstrate the following:
Be able to provide an excellent level of customer service.
Be successful communicating and interacting with all campus populations including students, faculty, and staff.
An Associate's Degree, up to a year of relevant work experience, and an active Christian or Jewish faith are required. A Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant work experience are preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Collect data and analyze it for admissions, enrollment, and retention strategy development
Serve on both BIC admissions committee and Honors College recruitment committee
Read and review approximately 800 BIC applications per year
Assist with Honors College application decision making
Propose BIC recruitment strategies and make recommendations to Honors College recruitment teams
Coordinate in-person and virtual events ranging from 10-100+ attendees
Coordinate campus visit experiences with prospective students and families in-person and virtually
Meet with prospective students and families to help recruit them to Baylor and the Honors College
Counsel prospective students on BIC curriculum and understanding of all Honors College opportunities
Interview BIC applicants and report back to BIC admissions committee
Manage Orientation appointments and data during summer Orientation
Work with various content management systems and other technology to help with admissions and retention
Complete procedural tasks in Slate related to admissions application processing
Run admissions reports, update banner data, and process student admission decisions as required
Assist with constituent inquiries and correspondence over email, phone, or in-person
Maintain professional interactions with staff, prospective students, families, and visitors
Assist coordinators/advisors with files, petitions, data compilation, and running reports as needed
Complete monthly advising stats
Manage website design on CMS/future platforms, upload MAPS to CMS
Compile news and events to send newsletters to students on a weekly basis.
Coordinate BIC's marketing, prospective/current student communication, and social media posts
Design and develop flyers, merchandise, or other items to bring BIC awareness
Assist with alumni engagement and Homecoming planning
Maintain accurate data by updating graduate records in database, running transcripts, filing transcripts & updating the grad report with honors received, honors program completed, etc
Maintain records of withdrawn students and keep a running database of students
Assist with any BIC student run Leadership Council event or activity
Create and deliver BIC graduation regalia (seals, certificates, and cords
Promote professional environment with excellent customer service
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
