The Quality Control Laboratory Technician 2nd Shift is responsible for working with the QC team to support production and supply chain through sampling and microbiological testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this position successfully, the candidate should be able to perform the following tasks including, but not limited to:
Perform routine lab testing with accurate and timely recording of tests results into the SAP module.
Understand and follow procedures of the department for the proper calibration and use of the departments equipment.
Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices for the care, handling, and storage of food and Dietary Supplement products
Responsible for maintaining workspace and adequate stock of lab supplies in conjunction with other Q.C. laboratory team members.
Perform environmental sampling procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or similar field, or associate degree with at least 2 years relevant experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed
