The Inventory Manager role is responsible for leading the Inventory Team and being the SAP/EWM subject matter expert within the Warehousing and Distribution department, setting the expectation for Inventory related processes and managing the roadmap to achieve it.
The Inventory Manager works with a wide variety of internal stakeholders across multiple sites â including Warehouse, Special Packs, Production, Customer Service, Demand Planning, Sales and IT teams â in the full range of the inventory cycle. You will leverage your industry, technical and functional experience to lead your team and support internal stakeholders by providing excellent service, improved processes, and inventory support.
Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of Inventory Management by working closely with business stakeholders, evaluating feedback/needs and identifying improvement opportunities
Proactively maintain knowledge of inventory management processes
Work with multiple sites to develop, standardize, and manage inventory management processes, including cycle counts, variance resolution, and obsolescence for dry goods and finished goods.
Develop and maintain Inventory Management standards and processes for Supply Chain
Translate inventory management strategy into a roadmap, identifying and generating new ideas that drive business value and improve supply chain
Manage Inventory Team to support inventory management activities and exceed metric expectations
Provide communication around priorities, developments, and changes to stakeholders across the business
Manage investigation and resolution of Inventory variances at multiple sites
Work closely with the EWM users to ensure they have a good understanding of processes and data
Act as an Inventory and SAP subject matter expert for development teams providing additional product insight as needed/requested by the EWM usersÂ
Ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and colleagues through good communication and influencing skills while acting as an advocate of the EWM Management team both externally and internally
Ensure effective leadership and management of the team and individuals; maintaining a continuous learning environment, setting clear objectives on what needs to be achieved for any given initiative
Work with HR to develop upskilling/training opportunities to build and maintain a high level of skills proficiency in the team
Build an effective and motivational team environment, aligning behaviors, values and performance expectations across the team to deliver exceptional results
Assist with operational improvement to simplify the inbound, outbound and inventory processes
Define and roll out inventory related metrics and reporting
Support strategic projects across multiple sites
Manage Inventory obsolescence and associated tasks
Implement Lean Management practices for Inventory Management across CBI network
5+ years in a corporate IT environment or Senior level Leadership role working with multiple disciplines to deliver projects in line with Business strategic goals
Proven delivery excellence in successfully managing multiple complex projects at a global level
Minimum of 3 years technology experience in Supply Chain and Operations areas delivering of SAP solutions
Production to Inventory and Extended Warehouse Management business process knowledge/experience
3+ years of SAP EWM user or configuration experience
Food and Beverage Industry knowledge/experience
Inventory Management Experience
Project Management / Agile Certification
SAP EWM Certification
SAP S/4 HANA on-Premise and Cloud experience
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.Â
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.
Location and Travel Requirements
Expected to travel approximately <25% percent of the time to our office and production/storage locations
