The Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management Program (MSGSCM) is looking for an energetic, organized, detailed-oriented Student Services Advisor with strong leadership and interpersonal skills to join the MS GSCM team. This position will provide student advising to masterâs degree students in both the on-campus and online program with degree requirements and class registration and support the program in a range of services covering admissions, recruitment, data tracking, and event planning for Commencement, the two experiential trips, admissions information sessions, and other program events. The advisor will work with the Academic Director and other program staff to assure high quality service to address all student needs and support various academic and admissions related initiatives.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manages a student advising caseload and ensures students are registering in the correct course, conducts graduation checks, informs students about academic policies, and helps students in resolving various academic issues.
Organizes, coordinates, and participates in academic and admissions related events such as the admissions information sessions, student receptions, orientation, commencement, experiential trips, and special events.
Assists in the preparation, delivery, and coordination of student services and activities as it relates to admissions and the academic program office. Provides administrative functions in support of a school, academic department, and office.Â
Reviews and maintains student and applicant records, inputs data, generates letters and/or lists utilizing student and admissions database. Verifies and maintains accuracy of student and applicant information.
Helps prospective students with questions about the application process and assists with recruitment and in the admissions review and notification process. Â
Facilitates logistics and arranges for special services, food, and venue reservations and execute duties required in the event protocol.
Participates in special assignments or short-term projects as needed.
Experience in a higher education, preferably in the area of student advising, education, event planning
Bachelorâs Degree, Masterâs preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills
