Standard Meat is a provider of portioned proteins, both raw and fully cooked, for food service, retail and the meal kit industry. Our summer internship program offers the experience of working in two processing plants, both located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Hired interns will be assigned to one of the following areas of interest: Production, Research and Development, Quality Assurance, or Supply Chain. The internship will be focused on at least one major project as well as working daily in the facility to understand process flow and production capabilities. Candidates will have the opportunity to interact with upper management, outside vendors as well as customers.
We are looking for motivated self-starters who have the ability to work independently. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills are critical. Strong interpersonal skills are desired.
Education: Actively working toward at least a bachelor’s degree in Animal, Meat or Food Science, Agribusiness or other related degrees at an accredited university
Experience:Previous meat handling or processing experience is preferred
Computer Skills: Basic skills and proficient at Microsoft Office Suite
