As the food industry association, FMI works to support the food industry by advocating for a safer, healthier, and more efficient consumer food supply. We are looking for an Assistant, SQFI Compliance and Training Support to join the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) team to help us accomplish the strategic initiatives established for this group. SQFI is a third-party global food safety program that is designed to meet industry, customer, and regulatory food safety requirements for all sectors of the food supply chain – from farm to retail stores.
The Assistant, SQFI Compliance and Training Support will:
Perform routine administrative tasks including pulling reports, analyzing data and responding to incoming technical, training and compliance emails with routine requests
Monitor food safety recalls by updating the recall lists and monitoring for compliance information
Revise and edit presentations and compliance reports/lists as needed
Perform audit report reviews on a weekly basis and send out results
Research notifications from FDA, USDA, CFIA and Food Trac to determine if SQF sites are impacted
Assist with pulling reports and following up on missing information for certification bodies (CBs)
Coordinate relevant course/curriculum details with marketing and administrative team for posting to SQFI website
Provide strategic logistical support to training courses which may include activities such as: participant scheduling, communications and tracking, venue identification (including catering and audio-visual management) and materials oversite
Produce webinars and virtual learning events and manage virtual platform technologies for positive participant experience.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
College degree and/or at least two to three years relevant experience
Previous training and technical experience working with a remote global team is a plus
Proven and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 programs including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and other training platforms such as Adobe Connect, Zoom, and Teams
Strong customer service and team orientation
Strong writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills
Excellent time and project management skills with an ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail and with minimal supervision
Written and spoken understanding of Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and/or Portuguese is a plus
Telecommuting is allowed.
