We are seeking a Business Data Analyst(6 Month Fixed-Term) to join our rapidly growing team.
The Business Data Analyst (6 Month Fixed-Term) will be the statistics and analytics guru of the Systems team. With such a wealth of knowledge, you will seek to make our processes and practices more efficient and effective. You will help lead our team to continued excellence as we search for innovative ways to understand and make use of all the data we collect. As such, you will need to have an eye for anything that may look out of place and be open to creative solutions. This position will primarily focus on expanding and growing sales in our Retail C-Store areas by focusing on pricing, margin, and placement of key products.
Perform data analyses and assist in interpretation of results using a variety of techniques to support business practices. Work with management to obtain and identify analytical requirements. Research best practices and develop benchmarks. Produce data collection methods (e.g., surveys, tests, etc.), and develop tools and processes to support analyses.
Analyze results, review data for anomalies, investigate to identify and determine cause, and correct data inaccuracies and inconsistencies as necessary. Provide recommendations and conclusions gained from analyzing data.
Provide business data trend information to support recommendations for action. Collaborate with management on matters of best practices, appropriate statistical measures, and benchmarking. Provide management with suggestions, as appropriate.
Utilize statistical and quality management principles to report and initiate operational/business practices changes.
Develop schedules for producing statistical analyses and graphical representation of data for business analytics. Provide ad hoc reporting and statistical analyses, as requested.
Oversee or perform data collection and/or entry processes. Recommend and/or utilize methods and procedures for data acquisition, management, and quality control, as directed or as needed. Recommend and/or utilize statistical techniques for data analysis, as directed or as needed. Resolve problems, answer questions, and provide information to facilitate process. Use standard statistical analysis software, as directed.
Oversee or perform maintenance and development of databases for collecting data and reporting purposes. Design data input or data collection screens, as needed. Enter and/or validate data entry, as needed. Ensure data errors are addressed. Provide technical support and design enhancements.

Education: Bachelorâs Degree (experience as a substitute)
Experience: 1 year with a focus on business analytics or data modeling and interpretation
Proficient PC skills.
Working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and statistical software programs.
Knowledge of business statistics and data analysis techniques.
Ability to manage and analyze data.
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

What We Prefer:
Bachelorâs Degree in disciplines such as statistics, economics, mathematics, accounting, business, computer science, information science, or management information science.
2 years of experience with data analytics in a retail or foodservice setting
Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other Business Analytics software
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to oversee student, temporary, and/or resource workers.
