Department: MED-Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Salary/Grade: EXS/8
Partners with clients to design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions regarding data management and analysis. This includes database administration, data consolidation, data analysis and management reporting. Utilizes software to generate metrics and develops actionable recommendations. Collaborates with various function teams such as marketing, research, and IT to achieve business results.
Works with all the stakeholders to define and document product requirements that will determine the success of the solution. The ideal candidate understands medical terminology, and must possess excellent communication skills, working directly with the senior team members to translate clinical data into technically viable data extraction needs.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative research team within a dynamic research environment. This position will support the Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research (CFAAR), directed by Dr. Ruchi Gupta located in the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM).
Manages and plans for data/analysis requests and projects.
Collaborates with technical staff explaining needs of functional users. Serve on committees related to data structure and governance.
Reviews reports before presentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
Develops and maintains documentation of process for quality assurance and reporting methodology.
Defines, develops and communicates new standards and best practices.
Develops queries and quality metrics.
Ensures quality and compliance by reviewing reports.
Manages projects ensuring timelines and deliverables are met and meet expectations.
Other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
4 years data analysis/report writing or similar experience required.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Must have 2 years of clinical research or analytics related experience (and/or applicable work experience); including 1 years (and/or applicable work experience) demonstrating a high level of core, technical and leadership competencies through cross-functional initiatives.
Medical terminology knowledge, and medical coding experience.
Experience with R programming, Python, or coding experience.
Demonstration of successful execution in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities effectively.
Master’s degree in Biomedical Informatics, Statistics, or equivalent field.
4 years business analysis/report writing/ project management or similar experience required, of which 3 years should be in managing life sciences or healthcare industry projects.

Experience with business processes, workflows, methodologies and leading practices required.
