Job Summary: Indiana State University seeks an experienced systems integrator for a vacant position in the Office of Information Technology. Position designs and develops advanced hardware and/or software integration in the ISU Technical Support unit, provides project leadership and technical assistance in the implementation of complex information systems and daily maintenance of such systems.
Our ideal candidate will possess 3+ years Linux System Admin experience in a production/enterprise environment and will have excellent troubleshooting, listening and problem solving skills. In addition, we are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of CentOS, Red Hat, SuSE Enterprise Linux, *BSD. Experience with standard services (DNS, DHCP, TFTP, PXE, etc.) would be a huge benefit as would an ability to troubleshoot server and storage hardware issues. The ideal candidate will also possess shell-scripting experience (Bash, Perl, and Python) and have working knowledge of version control systems such as GIT, SVN, RCS, or CVS. Some experience with compilers such as GNU, Intel, or PGI is desired.
