Winters JUSD is currently looking to fill the position of CBO.
1. Under the direction of the Superintendent, provides leadership in planning, supervising and directing the business, food services, and transportation departments of the District. 2. Functions in an advisory role to the other support programs of the District. 3. 3. Responsible for supervising the following services: the School District’s fiscal operations, financial and student attendance accounting systems, payroll, position control, accounts payable, insurance and benefit administration, risk management, food services, transportation, contract administration and purchasing. 4. Responsible for the day-to-day operating procedures of the District’s business services. 5. Serves as a member of the District’s management team in the collective bargaining process and a member of the District’s Leadership Council and Leadership Team. 6. Serves as fiscal adviser to the Superintendent and reports directly to the Superintendent. 7. Performs other related work as required.
Administers all fiscal affairs of the school district as required by the Education Code of the State of California and the policies and regulations of the Governing Board
Coordinates the development of the District’s annual budget; monitors school site, departmental and project budgets to provide assistance and ensure compliance with District and State guidelines and laws
Recommends Board policies as necessary to carry out the business functions of the District
Designs procedures and internal controls to safeguard the funds of the District
Directs and evaluates Director Food Services Fiscal Analyst, Lead Bus Driver, Payroll Technician and Accounts Payable Technician
Assists the Superintendent in administering those areas of control relating to wages, benefits and leaves
Attends meetings of the Governing Board to present financial reports, budget data, attendance reports, enrollment projections and develops financial information and proposals for collective bargaining, negotiates and assists the Superintendent in other related matters as may be requested by the Superintendent
Represents the interests of the District in a variety of settings and coordinates with the Yolo County Office of Education relative to business functions, the financial, personnel and student information systems and such other matters as may be requested by the Superintendent
Additional Salary Information: Monthly District contribution for healthcare $629.50
