Reports directly to: Vice President of Continuous Improvement
Job responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
Assist in setting quality standards and ensure that production is maintained at such standards
Perform quality control analysis including tests and inspections of products and processes
Responsible for approving all product releases
Responsible for reducing customer/consumer complaints for foods manufactured on site using root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive measures
Responsible for effectively managing the Quality Assurance Department
Responsible for effectively working with the Plant Operations Team
Responsible for participating in company, third party and regulatory inspections and audits
Responsible for maintaining required documentation
Responsible for any task assigned by management
Responsible for enforcing all company policies per the Employee Handbook
Responsible for maintaining and improving the safety, legality and quality of the products manufactured for the Company’s customer.
Have a Food Science or Food related degree
Proven experience as quality manager
Certification as a PCQI
Experience working with the Global Food Safety Initiative, preferably with BRC
In depth understanding of quality assurance/control procedures and relevant legal standards
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Conscientious, responsible and results driven
Outstanding communication skills up and down the organizational chart
