JOB SUMMARY: This essential role works cross functionally with Sales and Accounting by coordinating sales operations processes, analyzing sales data and performing internal sales reporting. Taking ownership of these processes will allow our outside sales force to focus on selling and make you an essential part of our team. This support role also oversees our Amazon presence as we seek to grow online sales.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, update, analyze, and distribute quarterly, monthly, and weekly sales reports
Interpret and provide insights around key sales data and look for outliers, trends, and opportunities
Create Ad-Hoc reports as requested by management
Oversee Van Holten’s Amazon (and other online outlets) sales by maintaining inventory, managing pricing, and developing promotional plans to improve sales in this channel
Maintain accurate customer and broker files
Identify opportunities to create and implement better filing and tracking systems, maximizing the use of technology
Work within customer online portals to submit new products, contracts, pricing, item maintenance, etc.
Extract sales information from customer online portals and utilize for Van Holten’s sales reporting
Review and use customer online portal data to create reports for broker commission adjustments and provide to Accounting in a timely manner
Work within the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN – 1 World Sync) and maintain and communicate item information to our trading partners
Assist outside sales team with administrative needs of business: new item set up, cost changes, etc.
Maintain and update all pricing, including pricing zones, list pricing, special pricing, and promotional activity
Coordinate and communicate all price updates and changes to impacted parties
Update and create broker contracts as needed
Review and track customer rebates & royalty payments
Coordinate, organize, and plan for national industry tradeshows and regional distributor tradeshows
Order entry one day per week
Other duties or projects as assigned by supervisor
BACK UP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle new customer inquiries
Assist with preparing larger sample requests or special projects
Answering phones and greeting visitors as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills including use of pivot tables

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Experience with customer portals like McLane Mpulse, Walmart Retail Link, DOT Expressway etc.
Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) experience
Experience with Power BI
CRM Software Experience
