This is a working supervisor position in a small but very busy GMP clinical product manufacturing facility. This person will supervise staff and functions related to purchasing and inventory of materials critical to the production of patient clinical products. The position requires oversight of daily operations to ensure critical material inventory requirements are being met. The position requires meticulously following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with the Food and Drug Administration regulatory requirements and University financial regulatory requirements. This is a working supervisor position, with the expectation that the supervisor will be hands on in daily operations. This position requires occasional on-call to handle freezer and refrigerator alarm conditions.
This position reports to the MCT Facility Director.
Major Responsibilities: Supervise department of purchasing/inventory staff to: • Ensure inventory quantities are maintained at appropriate levels for each project warehouse and the necessary level of customer service is provided to MCT internal customers • Ensure physical inventory is accurately reflected in the MCT database • Ensure backorders and open purchase orders are maintained and reconciled in a manner that ensures customer needs are met. • Ensure in-process/released/quarantine inventories are appropriately segregated • Ensure accurate and timely communication to programs related to delayed material receipts • Ensure standard operating procedures are followed • Ensure deviation reports are initiated and resolved • Provide IT input related to improvement of process • Ensure monthly reports are generated in a timely manner • Ensure recalls and vendor notification has been performed as required
In addition to supervisory activities this position requires hands on purchasing and inventory functions as needed based on day-to-day work volume fluctuations.

Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related field; or a combination of related education and experience in Supply Chain Management or related field to equal 8 years. • Experience must include at least 4 years of experience working in a purchasing/inventory warehouse setting. • Experience as an IT liaison • Experience with ERP databases • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail • Ability to generate new standard operating procedures and to revise existing documents • Ability to work in fast-paced environment • Strong written and oral communication skills • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a Food and Drug Administration GMP regulated facility • Experience working in a hospital or Central Supply environment • Experience working in a team environment • Experience with SAGE database
